Mr.K.T.Devendran, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner seeks for mandamus directing the respondent to consider her application dated 22.02.2018, wherein and whereby, she sought for granting Patta in her favour in respect of Plot No.167, No.4B, Srilakshmi Nagar, 1st Cross Street, Nerkundram, Thiruvallur District measuring an extent of 1260 sq.ft (2.86 cents) comprised in S.No.374/2 Nerkundram Village, Maduravoyal Taluk, Thiruvallur District.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said application has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the respondent to consider the application of the petitioner dated 22.02.2018, after hearing the petitioner as well as the respondents 3 & 4 and other interested parties, if any, if the said appeal is not yet disposed of. Such exercise shall be done by the first respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
