2.The Special Deputy Collector (Land Acquisition), 3.The Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority, COMMON PRAYER : This Review Application has been filed under Order 41 Rule 1 of the Code of Civil Procedure read with Section 114 of the Code of Civil Procedure, praying to review the order dated 01.07.2024 made in W.A.Nos.2387 of 2013, 2386 of 2013, 1983 of 2021, 1280 of 2014, 483 of 2021, 2384 of 2013, 268 of 2017, 2385 of 2013, 2388 of 2013, 1279 of 2014 and 509 of 2015.

The Review Applications have been instituted to review the orders of this Court dated 01.07.2024 in W.A.Nos.2387 of 2013, 2386 of 2013, 1983 of 2021, 1280 of 2014, 483 of 2021, 2384 of 2013, 268 of 2017, 2385 of 2013, 2388 of 2013, 1279 of 2014 and 509 of 2015. 2. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the lands acquired have not been utilized by the Government. That apart, enhanced compensation also has not been paid.
3. Merits cannot be re-adjudicated in a review petition. This Court has considered all these grounds and granted liberty to the petitioners to approach the competent Authorities/ Forum seeking enhancement of compensation. Instead of filing appropriate petition before the competent Forum seeking enhancement, the petitioners have chosen to file the present Review Applications for considering the grounds raised on merits or otherwise. Liberty has already been granted by this Court, which would be sufficient for the petitioners to seek enhancement of compensation in the manner known to law. That apart, the petitioners have not established any error apparent, warranting interference for invoking review jurisdiction.
