ORDER

This Contempt Petition is filed to punish the respondents for violating the orders of this Court dated 21.12.2024 in W.P.No.14581 of 2020.

2. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents brought to the notice of this Court that aggrieved by the order dated 21.12.2024 in W.P.No.14581 of 2020, the State has preferred a Writ Appeal in W.A.No.1003 of 2026. The Hon'ble Division Bench by order dated 01.06.2026, had granted interim stay. Since, the order against which the present Contempt Petition is filed is subject matter of the Writ Appeal, wherein stay is also operating, this Court is of the view that no useful purpose would be served in proceeding with the Contempt Petition.

3. Accordingly, the Contempt Petition is closed. However, liberty is granted to the petitioner to seek revival of the Contempt Petition after the disposal of the Writ appeal, if the cause of action survives. 19.06.2026 Index : Yes/No Speaking order : Yes/No dna 3/4
