Prayer:- Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure to direct the 2nd respondent police to take action on the petitioner's complaint dated 21.03.2016 in person and to provide police protection to the petitioner for taking savuttu soil sand from his Patta land in accordance order passed by the District Collector, Tiruvarur District, made in Na.Ka.No.52/2013/Mines dated 12.02.2015.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent police to take action on the petitioner's complaint dated 21.03.2016 in person and to provide police protection to the petitioner for taking savuttu soil sand from his Patta land in accordance order passed by the District Collector, Tiruvarur District, made in Na.Ka.No.52/2013/Mines dated 12.02.2015.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that permission was granted to the petitioner by the District Collector for quarrying of Savuttu soil and that, the local villagers are causing obstruction, for which, the petitioner has given a complaint dated 21.03.2015 to the second respondent police for police protection.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent submitted that respondent police have not received the copy of the complaint.

4. Under such circumstances, the petitioner is directed to appear in person before the second respondent police along with this order and lodge a fresh complaint, containing the very same contents as stated in the previous complaint dated 21.03.2015. On receipt of such complaint, the same shall be enquired into and action be taken thereon in accordance with law, if it discloses the commission of a cognizable offence or drop action otherwise. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
