ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the claims of the petitioner and to pay interest for the belated payment of terminal benefits such as DCRG and Commutation of pension and pass appropriate orders by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.08.2025.
2. Heard the learned counsels on either side. With the consent of both sides, the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing at the admission stage itself.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner entered the service of the respondent department as Assistant Engineer on 30.10.1979 and retired from service on 31.07.2013 without retirement benefits due to pending disciplinary proceedings. He further submitted that on the directions of this Court, the petitioner's terminal benefits were disbursed, however, no interest was granted for the belated payment, therefore, the
petitioner made a representation to the respondents on 13.08.2025 to pay interest for the delayed payment of his terminal benefits such as DCRG, Commutation and pension arrears, which evoked no response so far and hence, the present Writ Petition.
4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 13.08.2025 in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. There shall be no orders as to costs.
