Respondents Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents authority to remove the encroachment made by the 5th respondent in the light of G.O.Ms.No.540 of 2014 dated 04.12.2014 after conducting proper enquiry on the representation dated 29.05.2023 made by the petitioner.

ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Ms.V.Ranjitha, learned counsel appearing for Mr.S.Velmurugan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4.

2. Learned State Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the Tahsildar has already communicated to the encroachers with Form VII and Form VI notices and if the encroachments are not removed, then, within a period of one month, the encroachments on the subject land would be removed in accordance with law.

3. In view of the said statement, no orders are required to be passed in the present writ petition. The writ petition, as such, stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 12.01.2024 Index :
