O R D E R

This Writ Original Petition has been filed for a direction to the respondent herein to issue a non-traceability certificate with respect to the petitioners' documents of tile Document Nos.566 of 1982 and 952 of 1989, Sub Registrar, Mecheri on the basis of the petitioners' representation dated 19.10.2022.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners have lost their original sale deeds bearing Document Numbers (1) 566 of 1983 (ii) 952 of 1989 on the file of the Sub Registrar, Mecheri. Hence, they preferred a complaint on 19.10.2022 before the respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submitted that the Director General of Police issued a Circular Memorandum in Rc.No.2029209/General.1(1)/2022 dated 01.04.2022 with regard to the procedure to be followed for the issuance of Non Traceable Certificate. He further submitted that if the petitioner gives the representation following the instructions given in the Circular Memorandum, necessary action would be taken.

4. Recording the same, this Court directs the petitioner to give fresh representation based on the instructions given in the Circular Memorandum Rc.No.2029209/General.1(1)/2022 dated 01.04.2022. On receiving such representation, the respondent Police is directed to dispose of the representation within a period of four weeks thereafter.
