ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to consider the established facts of a valid marriage and the decree passed by the Competent Civil Court and the Legal Heir Certificate issued in favour of the petitioner and pass orders on the petitioner's representation for sanction of family pension, submitted on 09.08.2025, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court.

2. Ms.S.Pavithra, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the first respondent and Mr.C.S.K.Sathish, learned counsel takes notice on behalf of the second respondent. In view of the consent expressed by the learned counsel on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's husband was employed in the first respondent Transport Corporation in the year 1985 and he

retired from the service on 31.07.2014, and later, he died on 14.04.2017. The grievance of the petitioner is that though she made a representation dated 09.08.2025 before the respondents, seeking family pension, the same has not been considered till date. Therefore, the petitioner has preferred the present Writ Petition.

4. Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that it would suffice, if this Court issues a direction to the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 09.08.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.08.2025 on merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of six

(6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
