Prayer : Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Mandamus, directing the first and second respondents to grant permission to conduct the cultural programme of Adal Padal on 15.01.2023 at 06:00 pm to 11:00 pm at "Sri Kondathu Omkaliamman Temple Gundam Festival" A.Karatupalayam Village, Vellalapalayam Post, Bhavani Taluk, Erode District by consider and pass orders on the representation dated 23.12.2022 made by the petitioner within the time frame as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER
The Writ Petition has been filed to direct the first and second respondents to grant permission to conduct the cultural programme of Adal Padal on 15.01.2023 at 06:00 pm to 11:00 pm at "Sri Kondathu Omkaliamman Temple Gundam Festival" A.Karatupalayam Village, Vellalapalayam Post, Bhavani Taluk, Erode District by consider and pass orders on the representation dated 23.12.2022 made by the petitioner within the time frame as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that in order to conduct cultural programme on 15.01.2023, from 6.00 p.m. to 11.00 p.m., in the "Sri Kondathu Omkaliamman Temple Gundam Festival" A.Karatupalayam Village, Vellalapalayam Post, Bhavani Taluk, Erode District, the petitioner has sent a representation, dated 23.12.2022 to the second respondent. But, the same has not been considered so far. Hence, the present writ petition has been filed.
3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side), appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent police has received the representation of the petitioner and the same is pending for consideration.
4. I have considered the submission of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondent police.
5. It is brought to the notice of this Court that the Director General of Police, Tamil Nadu, Chennai, had issued a circular memorandum in Rc.007301/Genl.I(1)/2019, dated 09.04.2019, along with instructions to the Inspectors of Police throughout Tamil Nadu for consideration of applications seeking permission for conducting cultural programme. Therefore, in view of the detailed circular and guidelines issued by the Director General of Police, the second respondent police is hereby directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 23.12.2022 and pass suitable orders based on the above said circular.
6. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
