..Respondents Prayer: writ petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for Writ of Mandamus , directing the 2nd respondent to give effect to the Board Resolution dt 11.2.2012 approving the petitioners date of birth as 5.12.1955 instead of 09.04.1954 based on the Government Letter (Ms) No.31/MME1/2012 dt 6.2.2012 on the file of the 1st respondent without referring to the further letter in R.C.No. 9622/E1/2005 once again to the 1st respondent dt 9.3.2012 and consequently permit the petitioner to continue in service in the 2nd respondent office. Today when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned counsel for the petitioner represented before this Court that the petitioner had retired from service, therefore nothing survives for adjudication in the writ petition. The learned counsel for the petitioner has also made an endorsement to that effect.

2. In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, the writ petition stands dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
