Defendants PRAYER: Plaint under Sections 55 and 62 of the Copyright Act 1957 Read with Order IV Rule 1 of O.S.Rules Read with Order VII Rule 1 C.P.C. praying for a Judgment and Decree against the defendant (a)For a declaration that the plaintiff is the absolute owner of the limited copyright viz., the world Audio Rights in the picture "Vani Mahal" Tamil Starring Vignesh, Suvalakshmi, etc., directed by Jayaram, and music by Deva; (b) for a permanent injunction restraining the defendants their men, agents, servants, or any other persons acting on their behalf manufacturing, marketing, selling or distributing the audio casettes and compact discs of the picture "Vani Mahal" Tamil Starring Vignesh, Suvalakshmi, etc., directed by Jayaram, and music by Deva or in the alternative; (c) 1/3

directing the defendants to pay the plaintiff a sum of Rs.5,00,000/- (Rupees Five Lakhs only) with interest at 24% per annum from the date of plaint till date of realisation;
