ORDER

The petitioner seeks for reclassification of the land morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition from "Government Poramboke (Vacant land)" to

"Gramanatham Veetu Manai (Gramanatham Housing Site)". Since the competent authority to consider such a request is the District Revenue Officer, Namakkal and since the District Revenue Officer, Namakkal has not been arrayed as a party respondent in this writ petition, the District Revenue Officer, Namakkal is suo motu impleaded as a party fourth respondent in this writ petition by this Court. Registry is directed to carryout necessary amendments.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking to reclassify the land morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition as "Gramanatham Veetu Manai (Gramanatham Housing Site)" instead of "Government Poramboke (Vacant land)". The petitioner has filed supporting documents along with this writ petition. This Court is not expressing any opinion about the same.

3. Mr. D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation dated 11.06.2025, seeking for reclassification of land as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

6. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the newly impleaded fourth respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 11.06.2025, seeking for reclassification of the land morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition as "Gramanatham Veetu Manai (Gramanatham Housing Site)" instead of "Government Poramboke (Vacant land)" in the Revenue records within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

7. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
