ORDER

This petition as been filed to direct the Special Court for SC/ST (POA) Act, Cuddalore to conduct speedy trial in S.C.No.14 of 2019 and dispose of the same within a time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Pursuant to the earlier order passed by this Court, the report has been received from the Special Court, Cuddalore. It is seen from the report that there are 78 accused persons in this case. One after the other is absconding and non-bailable warrants are issued and the case is split-up. Insofar as SC.No.57 of 2019, it is pending for the execution of the non bailable warrant against some of the accused persons. Insofar as S.C.No.14 of 2019 is concerned, the case is posted for trial on 23.02.2024.

3. Taking into consideration of the facts and circumstances of the case and the report of the learned Special Judge, Cuddalore, there shall be a direction to the Court below to complete the proceedings in SC.No.14 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible.

4. This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above directions.
