Prayer: Writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct village cultural programme on evening of 15.01.2019 as part of pongal as well as Vinayagar Temple festival at Anna Nagar, Mulanur Village of Dharapuram Taluk by considering the petitioner's representation dated 07.12.2018. This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to grant permission to conduct the cultural programme on evening of 15.01.2019 as part of pongal as well as Vinayagar temple festival at Anna Nagar, Mulanur Village of Dharapuram Taluk.

2. According to the petitioner, they are proposed to conduct the festival on 15.01.2019 at Vinayagar Temple at Anna Nagar, Mulanur Village of Dharapuram Taluk. In view of the said festival, they want to conduct cultural programme, for which, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

they are seeking permission from the respondents and they have submitted an application before the respondents on 07.12.2018, but, so far, the petitioners' application was not considered by the respondents. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Considering the limited prayer sought in the present Writ Petition, without going into the merits of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the petitioner's representation and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law on or before 10.01.2019.
