O R D E R

This petition has been filed to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family members.

2. The petitioner is a Village Administrative Officer. The marriage between the petitioner and his erstwhile wife Navaneetham, the 3rd respondent herein had taken place on 14.11.2008. Thereafter, the relationship between them became stormy and sour. The petitioner had filed a divorce petition in H.M.O.P.No.56 of 2014 before the Sub Court, Ranipet. The 3rd respondent failed to appear before the Family Court and hence, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

the petitioner was granted exparte divorce on 22.07.2013. Thereafter, the 3rd respondent along with ten rowdy elements had created some disturbance and also threatened the petitioner. On 27.04.2015, when the petitioner was attending his office, the 3rd respondent along with ten rowdy elements and her sister, one Sakthi had come to the house of the petitioner and used abusive language and threatened the family members of the petitioner. The petitioner's brother one Raghuraman, with whom he had some property dispute instigated the petitioner's estranged wife to indulge in such activities and hence, the petitioner sought police protection.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that on completion of enquiry, it is found that the dispute between the petitioner and the 3rd respondent is a matrimonial dispute and both of them were directed to approach the concerned Court to work out their remedies. Thereafter, the complaint dated 28.04.2015 was closed. He further submits that during the year 2019, the petitioner had appeared before the respondent police and submitted that the dispute between them is resolved amicably and hence, the petitioner needs no further action in the complaint dated 28.04.2015.

4.Recording the above submissions made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, no order is required in this petition. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
