O R D E R

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking to call for the records in C.C.No.720 of 2013 on the file of the VIII Metropolitan Magistrate, George Town, Chennai and quash the same.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had died on 13.06.2014, hence, the case against the petitioner is abated. He had also made the following endorsement to that effect:- "The petitioner Mr.J.C.Kataria, accused No.2, in CC.No.720 of 2013 is reported to be dead on 13.06.2014 as per the instruction received from his son Mr.Manish Kataria. Hence, this petition may be dismissed as abated."

3. In view of the above submission and endorsement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this criminal original petition is dismissed as abated. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
