This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction to respondents 2 to 5 to consider the representation made by the petitioner to complete the final year of the B.L.Degree course based on the letter dated 29.11.2022 which was sent by the 6th Respondent.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that she joined B.L. Integrated (5 years) Law Course, and passed upto 4 years without any arrears. In the final year due to the death of her father, the petitioner could not complete the course and obtained Transfer Certificate. Thereafter, the petitioner made a representation on 26.08.2022, seeking permission to continue the studies and write the final exams. Since, there was no response from the respondents, the petitioner filed a Writ Petition in W.P.No.26200 of 2022 on 15.09.2022 praying to permit the petitioner to attend the final year course. On the representation made by the petitioner, the 2nd respondent issued a migration certificate without any restriction for the petitioner to appear for any examinations in other universities. Thereafter, the petitioner withdrew the Writ Petition and sent a representation to the respondents on 23.11.2023 to complete Page No:3/6
the final year. Thus, the 6th respondent also sent a letter to Respondents 1 to 5 on 29.11.2022 for enabling the petitioner to complete a final year, however, till date, no decision has been taken by Respondents 1 to 5. Hence, this Writ Petition.
3. Though very many grounds have been raised, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that it would suffice if this Court issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.11.2023 and permit the petitioner to complete the final year of the Law Degree Course.
4. On the above contention, this Court heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 & 2 and learned counsel appearing for other respondents.
5. In view of the limited relief sought for by the petitioner, this Court without going into the merits of the case, directs the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 23.11.2023 seeking to complete the final year of B.L.Degree course and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
