1. Ajay Kumar Bhalla Government of Tamil Nadu, Rep. by its Secretary, Home Department, Fort St. George, Chennai 2.

2. Mr.K.M. Sarayu District Collector, Collectorate, Krishnagiri District.

... Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, to punish the respondents for committed willful disobedience of the order of this Court made in W.P.No.7337 of 2017 dated 11.08.2022. 1/4

For Petitioner : Mr.P.Vijendran For Respondent : Mrs.S.Anitha Special Government Pleader

O R D E R

The grievance of the petitioner is that the order dated 11.08.2022 has not been complied with within the time granted. Pursuant to the notice issued the entire files relating to the enquiry have been produced. It is seen there from that the District Collector, Krishnagiri has passed an order on 11.03.2024, though belatedly, rejecting the claim of the petitioner that his father was illegally confined by the Police. Since the order has now been complied with, there is no cause for proceeding with the contempt.

2. In view of the above, the Contempt Petition is closed, leaving it open to the petitioner to challenge the rejection order in the manner known to law. 05.07.2024 jv 2/4
