A. (IP).No.59 of 2015 in I.P.No.19 of 1997 R.SUBBIAH, J This is an application to permit the Official Assignee to pay a sum of Rs.17,500/- as legal fees and expenses to the counsel, Mr.R.S.Ranganadham.

2. Heard the learned Official Assignee and the learned counsel for the respondent.

3. The learned Official Assignee has filed his report, which reads as follows :

" It is submitted that Judgment and Decree has been passed in O.S.No.2465 of 2011 on the file of XV Additional City Civil Court, Chennai against the respondents / Insolvents 1 and 2 and Official Assignee, High Court, Madras, on 12.01.2015.

In this regard, the Official Assignee has engaged Mr.R.S.Ranganadham, Advocate to defend the suit on the file of XV Additional City Civil Court, Chennai. He has claimed a sum of Rs.17,500/- towards legal fees and expenses by letter, dated 05.02.2015.
