Mr.V.Kadhirvelu, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
2. The grievance of the petitioner in this case is that the petitioner was appointed as Additional Public Prosecutor for a term of three years and the term is expiring on 15.06.2020. The petitioner had applied for the post of Sub Inspector of Police in the year 1997 conducted by the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board and now he is selected for the said post and directed to join on 01.06.2018. However, he could not join on the said date as he could not not be relieved from the post presently holding and as such he made a representation on 31.05.2018 to the respondent Nos.1 to 4 to defer his date of joining but no order on the same has yet been passed. Hence, he came to file the writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents to consider his representation with regard to defer / extension of date of joining.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner filed this writ petition seeking a direction to the respondents for disposal of the representation made and as such the respondents be directed to dispose of his such representation within a stipulated period.
4. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents submits that if such representation has been made and no order has yet been passed, the respondent would pass an order on the same in accordance with law within reasonable period, however no fetter on merit of such representation be made.
5. Considering the aforesaid facts and submissions made, especially the nature of relief sought for this Court disposes of the writ petition without asking for reply affidavit of the respondents, with the direction to the first respondent to take an informed and considered decision of such representation of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
