J U D G M E N T
When the present Appeal is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the appellants as well as the respondents submitted that the matter has been settled before the Lok Adalat, which was organised by the Taluk Legal Services Authority, Chidambaram on 21.12.2022 and thereby, seeks to close the present appeal.

2. On a perusal of the said Lok Adalat award dated 21.12.2002, it is seen that based on the compromise memo entered into between the parties and the memo filed to that effect and on being read over to the parties, the final decree was passed in terms of the said compromise.
3. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsels on either side and considering the fact that the matter has been settled before the Lok Adalat, (organised by Taluk Legal Services Authority, Chidambaram), on 21.12.2022, the present appeal is closed as settled before Taluk Legal Services Committe, Chidambaram. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
