O R D E R
The present Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to direct the 3rd and 4th respondents, to take necessary steps to celebrate Kanoom Pongal Chariot Thiruvizha dated 17.01.2019 of Arulmighu Dharmaraja Temple situated at Kannakurukkai Village, Chengam Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 13.12.2018.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the people of the village and the devotees of the said temple used to celebrate Margazhi month Utsavam and Kanoom Pongal Chariot Thiruvizha in a grand manner and the deities are being decorated and taken on the streets of the village (Sami Veethi Ula) from the temple and people used to perform the Deepa Aradhanas to the deities from the 1st house of the temple and offer donations by way of gold coins and money. He further submits that the petitioner has made a representation on 13.12.2018 to the respondents and requested to take necessary action to celebrate the said function, but, the respondents have not taken any effective step in this regard.
3. Heard Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made on either side, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.12.2018 and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law, after issuing notice to the petitioner and the persons interested in this regard and also affording them an opportunity of personal hearing, on or before 14.01.2019, without insisting a copy of this order.
