Crl.O.P.No.18085 of 2019 was filed to quash the proceedings initiated in Crime No.293 of 2017 on the file of CCB-1, Chennai-7. Subsequently, Crl.M.P.No.1993 of 2022 was filed by the 4th accused, seeking a direction to complete the investigation and file a final report. 2.

In the said circumstances, on 28.02.2022, this Court took note of the fact that the Crl.O.P.No.18085 of 2019 was filed to quash, was disposed by this Court on 17.07.2019 with a direction to the investigation agency to complete the investigation and file a report as expeditiously as possible. However, inspite of nearly 3 years lapsed, the final report has not filed. Hence, a direction was given to complete the investigation and file a final report on or before 13.08.2022. 3.

When the matter came up for hearing on 17.08.2022, this Court directed the first respondent to file status report. Accordingly, status report has been filed today stating that draft final report has already been prepared and necessary approval will be obtained in the course of this week and they will file a final report before the Court concern.
