O R D E R

This Civil Revision Petition has been filed to issue a direction to the learned Family Judge, Salem to dispose of F.C.O.P.No.186 of 2015 pending on the file of him within a time frame. 2.The learned counsel for the petitioner/husband submitted that the petitioner filed a petition in F.C.O.P.No.186 of 2015 under

Section 13(1) (ia) (b) of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955 to pass a decree for divorce on the ground of cruelty and desertion and to dissolve the marriage solemnized between the petitioner and the respondent on 02.06.2004. Counter statement has also been filed by the respondent before the Court below. After completing the evidence of P.W.1, the matter has been posted on 22.02.2017 for cross examination of P.W.1. But, till today, the respondent has not cross examined P.W.1. Hence, the present Civil Revision Petition has been filed by the petitioner to issue a direction to the Court below to dispose of F.C.O.P as expeditiously as possible.

3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on merits, this Court is inclined to pass the following order:

"(i)The learned Family Judge, Salem is directed to dispose of F.C.O.P.No.186 of 2015 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is no legal impediment.

(ii)The Civil Revision Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No order as to costs. "
