O R D E R

By consent of both the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as respondents, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The Writ Petition is filed seeking a direction to the 3rd respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 20.09.2024 pending on his file.

3. The petitioner applied for issue of legal heirship certificate on the death of her husband R.Selvakumar. The request of the petitioner was rejected by the 4th respondent. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the 3rd respondent on 20.09.2024 and the same has not been taken up for hearing. Therefore, the petitioner has come before this Court.

4. Mr.V.Ramesh, learned Government Advocate, who is taking notice for the respondents, on instructions would submit that the 3rd respondent already issued summons for enquiry in his Proceedings in Na.Ka.No.5439/2024/c, dated 22.01.2025. The learned Government Advocate further informed the Court that enquiry is fixed on 24.01.2025 at 11.00 a.m., in the office of the 3rd respondent.

5. The said statement is recorded and the 3rd respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal filed by the petitioner dated 20.09.2024, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
