Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records in respect of the respondents more particularly the 1st respondent in respect of the letter dated 19.02.2018 vide R.O.C.No.428 of 2018 issued to the Petitioner whereby the petitioner's nomination paper is returned without scrutiny and consequently direct the respondents to scrutinize the nomination paper of the petitioner and if found to be proper and correct and include the petitioner name in the final list of candidates of election of The Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry-2018.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by C.T.SELVAM, J.] Petitioner seeks direction to call for the records in respect of letter dated 19.02.2018 vide R.O.C.No.428 of 2018, scrutinize the nomination paper of the petitioner and include the petitioner's name in the final list of candidates of election of The Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry2018.

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned counsel appearing for respondents.

3. It is seen that the petitioner has forwarded his nomination papers though post on the night of 14.03.2018 and the same has reached the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu only on 16.03.2018. In such circumstance, Secretary, The Bar Council of Tamil Ndu & Puducherry/first respondent herein, has rejected the nomination as nomination has been closed on 15.03.2018. Challenging the same, petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

4. In the aforesaid circumstances, we find no error in the order under challenge. This writ petition shall stand dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
