O R D E R

This revision challenges the order of the District Legal Services Authority in directing the civil revision petitioners to pay a sum of Rs.6,16,127/-.

2. After hearing both sides, I realised that the area of dispute is limited. Pending mediation proceedings before the District Legal Services Authority, the civil

revision petitioners as well as the respondent, who are close relatives, had agreed that the respondent will receive a sum of Rs.3,15,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs Fifteen Thousand only) in full quit of the claim made by the respondent on the civil revision petitioners.

3. Therefore, I directed Mr.K.S.Karthik Raja to pay the amount that they agreed before the District Legal Services Authority. Mr.Karthik Raja, on instructions informed that his clients are willing to pay a sum of Rs.3,00,000/- instead of Rs.3,15,000/-.

4. Ms.Kavya representing the respondent submitted that in case the amount of Rs.3,00,000/- is paid, her client will receive the same and waive the remaining amount which he is entitled under the Award of the District Legal Services Authority. Accordingly, the matter is posted today to enable Mr.Karthik Raja to come with the demand draft for the aforesaid amount.

Today, Mr.Karthik Raja has handed over a demand draft for a sum for Rs.3,00,000/- (Rupees Three Lakhs only) dated 18.07.2024 in D.D.No.210143 drawn on Canara Bank, Madhukarai Branch, Coimbatore in favour of the respondent. Ms.Kavya, learned counsel for the respondent has received the same and had made an endorsement to that effect in the bundle.

6. Mr.Karthik Raja fears that the respondent will make a publication as he had done on 09.01.2022 regarding the default that had been committed by his clients. Ms.Kavya submits that she has informed her client that as the entire amount has been paid, he should not indulge in such publication.

7. Nothing remains to be adjudicated apart from recording that the claim which the respondent has against the civil revision petitioners stands discharged in full quit. The Civil Revision Petition is closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
