This petition has been filed to quash the proceedings in CC.No.561 of 2022 pending on the file of Additional Mahila Court, Salem.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 19.01.2024, this Court passed the following order:

''The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there was an amicable settlement between the parties and the marriage itself was dissolved through the judgment passed by the learned Sub Judge, Thirumangalam in HMOP No.30 of 2023, dated 26.07.2023. That apart, even the DVC proceedings were closed based on this compromise by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Andipatti in DVC No.1 of 2022 by an order dated 21.03.2023.

2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor seeks for some time to take instructions in this regard. 3.Post this case under the same caption on 02.02.2024.''

3. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the 2nd respondent also confirmed that the matter has been 2/4

amicably settled and the marriage itself has been dissolved by mutual consent. This fact was also confirmed by Mr.R.Indira, WSSI, All Women Police Station, Sooramangalam, Salem City, who was present before this Court.
