AWARD This appeal is preferred by the appellant Transport Corporation as against the award dated 09.07.2012 passed by the Motor Accidents Claims

Tribunal, Additional Subordinate Judge, Chengalpattu in M.C.O.P.No.444 of 2007.

2. The learned counsel for the appellant submitted that the appellant Transport Corporation agreed to satisfy the award passed by the Tribunal. In view of the same, the award of the Tribunal at Rs.1,00,000/-(Rupees One Lakh only) with interest at the rate of 7.5% per annum from the date of numbering of the petition 30.11.2007 till the date of deposit (excluding the period of dismissal for default if any), is hereby confirmed. 3.Hence, the appellant Transport Corporation is directed to deposit the entire award amount with interest and costs, after deducting the amount already deposited, if any, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this award.

On such deposit being made, the Tribunal is directed to transfer the same to the respondent/claimant, on proper identification through RTGS in accordance with the terms of the award, without insisting on any formal permission petition. 4.Accordingly, the Civil Miscellaneous Appeal is disposed of. Consequently, connected civil miscellaneous petition/s, if any, is/are closed. The Managing Director Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, (Division-III) Kanchipuram.
