ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents herein to forthwith settle / disburse the Retirement benefits to the petitioner after deducting and remitting the Loan Dues payable by the petitioner to the V.T. 744, Thiruvannamalai District Co-operative Societies Employees Thrift and Credit Society by considering the Representation of the Petitioner dated 16.10.2025.

2. Mr.V.Umakanth, learned Government Advocate takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

3. The petitioner was initially appointed as Clerk on 20.09.2000 and subsequently promoted to the post of Supervisor on 01.01.2015. Thereafter, due to the sudden demise of the then Secretary, he was additionally entrusted with the duties of Secretary (In-Charge) of the 4th respondent Society. The main grievance of the petitioner is that, upon attaining superannuation on 31.08.2025, though he was relieved, he was not permitted to retire from service. Hence, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 16.10.2025 seeking disbursement of his terminal benefits which has not been considered till date. Hence, the present Writ Petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, it would suffice, if this Court, issues a direction to the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.10.2025 and pass appropriate orders on the same on merits within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

5. On the above contention, this Court, heard the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

6. In view of the limited relief sought for in this Writ Petition, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the 4th respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.10.2025 and pass

appropriate orders on the same in accordance with law within a period of four

(4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and any other interested parties.

7. This Writ Petition stands disposed of with the aforesaid direction. There shall be no order as to costs.
