ORDER

Alleging that the order dated 06.11.2014 passed by this Court in W.P.No.31874 of 2012 has not been complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed. 2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned counsel appearing for the respondent produced a communication of the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission in Memorandum No.6207/OTD-B2/2010 dated 17.05.2018 and the proceedings of the Principal Director, Highways Department, Guindy, Chennai dated 04.06.2018 by which the petitioner

was given appointment as Audit Assistant in the Highways Department.

3.Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that it is not known as to whether the petitioner is qualified to hold the post or not, for which, the learned counsel for the respondent would submit that the petitioner is qualified. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner may be considered for some other post. It appears that a representation to that effect has already been sent to the Head of the Department, Highways Department, Chennai.

4.Considering the above, while closing the contempt petition, the appropriate authority/concerned authority is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner for appropriate post. Liberty is also given to the petitioner to challenge the appointment order, if she is so aggrieved.
