Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking a writ of mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to remove the encroachment made by the respondents 5 to 7 in respect of the lands in S.Nos.34/13, 34/3 and 34/9 of Kanjanayakkanpatti Village, Kadaiyampatti Taluk, Salem District as per the proceedings of 2nd respondent in O.Mu.2483/2023/Oo dated 10.07.2023. ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Heard Mr.V.Elangovan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader for respondents 1 to 4.

2. Learned State Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the subject property is a Government land and the same would be measured. It is further submitted that upon measurement of the subject property, if encroachments are found, action, in accordance with law, would be taken to remove the encroachments.

3. In view of the aforesaid statement, the writ petition stands disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. (S.V.G., CJ.) (D.B.C., J.) 10.01.2024 Index :
