ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent (Police Officers) to take further action pursuant to the petitioner's complaint dated 26.12.2019 and to investigate in accordance with law.
2. The petitioner/party in person has submitted that she lodged a complaint before the respondent on 26.12.2019, but, so far, no action has been taken on the said complaint.
3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that after receipt of the complaint, the respondent has called the petitioner to appear for enquiry, but, she is not appearing and hence the petitioner's complaint is still pending.

4. Considering the aforesaid submissions, the respondent is directed to register the F.I.R, if the complaint discloses any cognizable offence. In case, the complaint does not disclose any cognizable offence, the respondent has to issue summons to the petitioner directing her to appear for enquiry with regard to the said complaint and if the said enquiry reveals any cognizable offence, the respondent has to register the case and proceed in accordance with law. In case, the enquiry does not reveal any cognizable offence, the respondent has to close the complaint directing the petitioner to work out her remedy before appropriate forum. The aforesaid exercise shall be completed within a week from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. With the abovesaid directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
