Respondents Prayer:
Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to submit a details status report before this Court pertaining to their steps taken pursuant to Stormwater drains Projects; and consequently direct the respondents 1 and 2 immediately to form or constitute an expert committee or team in this regard and to resolve the existing heavy rain water logging in the Chennai City with a permanent solution to resolve the same in full letter and spirit.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Acting Chief Justice) The first petitioner appearing in person for himself and on behalf of the second petitioner prays for withdrawal of the writ petition with liberty to make an appropriate application in the pending writ petition being W.P.No.19988 of 2020 on the same subject-matter, which is coming up before this court on February 3, 2022. The withdrawal of the writ petition is for the reason that the issue raised in the present writ petition is already pending consideration before this court in the writ petition referred to above.
2. In view of the above, the writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty as prayed for. No costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.631 of 2022 is closed.
