ORDER
This Writ Petition had been filed challenging the order of transfer which had been upheld by the Labour Court.
2.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, it is represented by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner Union that out of 18 employees who were transferred from Sriperumbudur to Gummidipoondi unit which is under challenge in this Writ Petition, 8 of the employees had already retired on superannuation, 5 of them had taken Voluntary Retirement from Service [VRS], 1 is not a member of the petitioner Union and 4 other employees were re-transferred back to 2/5
Sriperumbudur unit and therefore, effectively nothing survives for adjudication in this Writ Petition.
3.In view of the aforesaid statement made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, there is no necessity to adjudicate the lis in this Writ Petition and hence, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs. 21.11.2023 Internet : Yes/No Index : Yes/No pgp 3/5
