(Judgment of the Court was delivered by DR.VINEET KOTHARI, J.) The Management of Tamil Nadu Salt Corporation Limited has filed this intra Court appeal against the interlocutory order passed by the learned Single Judge on 11.01.2007 whereby the learned Single Judge has directed as follows. "It is represented by the learned counsel for the workman that as against the common award, thirty writ petitions were filed and this Court by order dated 21.08.2006 modified the interim stay on condition that the petitioner-management shall pay 1/4th of the amount of backwages to the individual workman within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order and with a further direction to the petitioner-management to take demand drafts in favour of each workman and hand over the same to the learned counsel for the respondents.
Following the said order in WPMP No.39039 of 2005 and WVMP 863/2006 in W.P.No.36193 of 2005, interim stay is modified on the same line. Consequently, all miscellaneous petitions are disposed of."
2. It is submitted that the writ petitions are pending even now. Having heard the learned counsel for the appellant, we are not inclined to interfere with the order of the learned Single Judge in any manner. Therefore, we dispose of these Writ Appeals with a request to the learned Single Judge to decide the writ petitions pending, as expeditiously as possible. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
