ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent to withdraw the case in Crime No.920 of 2014 from the file of the 3rd respondent and transfer the said case to some other agency most preferably to the 4th respondent herein based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.12.2014 made to the 1st respondent for fair and impartial investigation of the said case.

2.Heard, Mr.E.Turairaaj, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Mohamed Riyaz, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.

3.It is seen that the case is of the year 2015. Almost four years have been lapsed and hence, due to the lapse of period, the prayer sought for by the petitioner cannot be granted now. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this Court does not want to interfere with the investigation at this stage. However, the third respondent Police is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.920 of 2014, pending on his file and file a final report within a period of four weeks from the date of the receipt of a copy of this Order. 5.With the above observation and direction, the Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
