This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent not to harass the petitioner without due process of law. 1/4

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that petitioner is an accused in Crime No.644 of 2022 on the file of the Virudhachalam Police Station. The petitioner was granted bail in Crl.M.P.No.7946 of 2022 on 16.12.2022. Even thereafter, the respondent police is harassing him under the guise of enquiry.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) submitted that the petitioner is an history sheeter and there is a proceedings initiated against him under Section 122(b) of Cr.P.C. Show Cause Notice was also issued against him on 29.12.2022. After receiving the Show Cause Notice, he approached this Court with the present petition.

4. Considered the submissions made by the counsels on either sides. In the light of the show cause notice issued against the petitioner, petitioner is directed to co-operate with the enquiry in the proceedings under Section 122(b) of Cr.P.C.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
