ORDER

The prayer in the writ petition is to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 18.03.2014 to re-fix the date of promotion in the cadre of Deputy Manager with retrospective effect from the year 2005 instead of 02.12.2011. 2.

Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the first respondent. Mr.P.Kannan Kumar, learned Standing counsel takes notice on behalf of the second respondent.

3. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, without going into the merits of the case, the representation deserves to be disposed of on merits by the respondents. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.03.2014 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
