ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondents police to conduct further investigation and include all the offences committed by the accused stated in the complaint dated 22.12.2021 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 27.01.2022.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner gave a complaint against the accused on 22.12.2021. The allegation against the accused is that on 21.12.2022 at about 10.10 p.m, when the petitioner visited the hotel for Dinner, the accused persons scolded him using filthy language and assaulted him. Therefore, the petitioner lodged a complaint against the accused person. However, till date the second respondent police has not taken steps to arrest the accused. Hence, this petition has been filed.

3. The learned Government Advocate (crl.side) appearing for the respondents submitted that the case has been registered on 14.11.2022. Investigation is pending and it will be completed within a period of three months.

In the light of the submissions made by the learned Government Advocate (crl.side), this Court directs the second respondent police to conduct investigation in Crime No.734 of 2022 as early as possible, preferably, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and file the final report. Before filing the final report, the prayer sought by the petitioner for further investigation cannot be entertained.

5. With the aforesaid direction, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
