This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to deal with the application/ representation made by the petitioner on 22.11.2024 wherein the petitioner is seeking for transfer of patta in his name with respect to the subject properties.

2. Heard Mr.K.S.Karthik Raja, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.R.P.Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents 1 to 3.

3. The petitioner has purchased the subject property through a registered sale deed dated 15.11.2021. According to the petitioner, the patta presently stands in the name of vendor. Hence, the petitioner requested for conducting survey for demarcation of the boundaries and for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner. When the respondents attempted to survey the property, the wife of the vendor made some objections and hence, no survey was conducted and no patta was issued in favour of the petitioner. It is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and also the materials placed before this Court and considering the limited grievance expressed by the petitioner, there shall be a direction to the second respondent to deal with the representations made by the petitioner on 09.10.2024 and 22.11.2024 after affording opportunity to the fourth respondent and a decision shall be taken for survey of the subject property and for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
