Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the records of the 2nd respondent's proceedings in RFL/Villivakkam/91/2024 dated 26.10.2024, quash the same, consequently direct the 2nd Respondent to register the settlement deed submitted by the petitioner with respect to the property Plot No.11A, Survey No.12 in S.No.13, Raghavendra Nagar Main Road, Old No.7A, New Door No.11B, admeasuring 2520 sq.ft., 1/4

The Writ Petition is filed to quash the impugned Refusal Check Slip dated 26.10.2024 and consequently direct the 2nd respondent to register the settlement deed submitted by the petitioner with respect to the petition mentioned property.
2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.
3. The document in question is a settlement deed which has been returned by the 2nd respondent vide refusal check slip and directed the petitioner to produce the original title deeds.
4. In the light of the Judgement passed by this Court in Ramayee - Vs - The Sub Registrar and others - (2020 (6) CTC 697), the impugned order cannot be sustained.

5. The Writ Petition is allowed and the order of the 2nd respondent is set aside. The 2nd respondent is directed to register the Settlement Deed, within a period of 2 weeks from the date of receipt of the representation of the document.
