ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to provide police protection to the petitioner and the 306 members of the association based on the complaint dated 12.03.2018 and investigate the same in accordance with law.
2. It is the case of the petitioner that there are 306 members in their Association and that the lands have been allotted to them under the Ex-Servicemen quota, by the District Collector, Tiruvallur. While so, when the Association members started construction of house, some local rowdy elements were creating problems. In this connection, complaints have been given to the respondent police seeking police protection and thereafter, this petition has been filed.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the State.
4. This Court cannot issue a blanket order of police protection as prayed for by the petitioner. However, as and when there is any specific instance of rowdyism, the members can approach the local police for appropriate action. If the revenue authorities come to the place for inspection, the fourth respondent police shall provide necessary police protection to them for survey and measurement.
