This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent-police to register the complaint dated 20.04.2016 given by the petitioner.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.
3. On a reading of the complaint dated 20.04.2016, it appears that the petitioner had entered into a franchisee agreement with the opposite party and had paid some amount. The opposite party had issued cheques on 15.01.2016, 21.01.2016 and 15.02.2016, which when presented were dishonoured.
4. Since the allegations are contractual in nature, no positive directions can be issued to the respondent-police to register an FIR., https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
5. In view of the above, this Criminal Original Petition is closed, with liberty to the petitioner to work out his in the manner known to law.
