PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the 1st respondent monitor and expedite the investigation done by 2nd respondent file charge sheet in Crime No.263 of 2021 pending on the file of the 3rd respondent police within the time as stipulated by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

The petitioner who is the defacto complainant in Crime No.263 of 2021 has filed this petition seeking direction to the first respondent to monitor and expedite the investigation done by the respondent police.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submits that in this case, earlier the case was closed before the District Collector on 29.12.2021. The District Collector had some doubts and objections and thereafter sent back the same, for which investigation was conducted on 30.12.2021. that investigation in the above crime number is pending before the first respondent herein.

3.The prayer in this petition is to direct the first respondent herein to monitor and expedite the investigation done by the respondent police in Crime No.263 of 2021. In this case, now already the case is with the first respondent and if the petitioner has got any objections or any materials to substantiate the same, the petitioner to produce the same before the first respondent. The Superintendent of Police, Ariyalur District, to give prior notice to the petitioner for enquiry and also examine and report. The Superintendent of Police, Ariyalur District, is reminded that as per Rule 7 of the SC & ST Act, investigation to be completed within the stipulated time period. 4.With the above directions, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
