O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to file final report in Crime No.771 of 2014 pending on his file.

2. The case of the petitioner is that he has lodged a complaint with the respondent police with regard to theft of money to the tune of Rs.2,90,000/- and the same was registered as FIR in Crime No.771 of 2014 dated 14.10.2014 for the offence under Section 379 IPC. Thereafter, no steps have been taken by the respondent police to conduct investigation and file final report. Hence, this petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, who took notice for the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondents.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and taking note of the fact that the case is pending without any progress from the year 2014, the second respondent is directed to conduct investigation and file final report in Crime No.771 of 2014 pending on his file, if not already filed, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of accordingly.
