Prayer: Criminal Original petition filed under Section 482 of Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the Trial Court Viz., The Special Court for NDPS & EC Act Cases at Coimbatore to expedite the trial in C.C.No.40 of 2014 within a time frame stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the Court below to complete the trial within a time frame. 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that this Court has already given a direction to the Court below to complete the trial in C.C.No.40 of 2014 within a period of two months. This order was passed in Crl.OP.1502 of 2019 dated 28.02.2019. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that in spite of this order, the trial is yet to commence, since the original records is still kept in the Vigilance Department, High Court. He further submitted that a direction can be given to the vigilance department to transfer the original records to the Court below, to enable the Court below to commence the trial. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

This Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a direction to the Registrar, Vigilance, High Court to immediately transfer the entire case bundle in C.C.No.40 of 2014, to the learned I Additional Special Court for NDPS & EC Act Cases at Coimbatore. The Court below, immediately on receipt of the case bundles, shall complete the proceedings in C.C.No.40 of 2014, within a period of two months thereafter.
