ORDER

Mr. T.M. Pappiah, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice for the respondents. With consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner joined the Government service as Secondary Grade teacher on 21.08.2001. Presently, she is working at the Primary School, Parasur, Cheyyar Union, Tiruvannamalai District. Her name is found in the first place in the seniority list drawn on 01.01.2016 and she is awaiting promotion to the post of B.T. Assistant (Science). While so, one Jayasurian, working as B.T. Assistant (Science) in Panchayat Union Middle School, Siruveliyanallur, Cheyyar Block, Tiruvannamalai District, has been transferred to the Municipal https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Middle School, Govindhapuram, Madhanur Block, Vellore District, vide proceedings dated 20.08.2016 of the second respondent. Yet, he has not been relieved from the Panchayat Union Middle School, Siruveliyanallur, owing to which, the petitioner is not able to get her due promotion. In this regard, the petitioner has addressed representations dated 09.03.2017 and 22.03.2017 to the second respondent, which have not yet been considered. Hence, this writ petition seeking a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 09.03.2017 and 22.03.2017. Considering the limited scope of the relief sought by the petitioner, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representations dated 09.03.2017 and 22.03.2017, on their own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
