Prayer Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to issue Patta in favour of the petitioner pertaining to the property comprised in survey No. 283/1 bearign Plot No.140 and 141, totally, measuring an extent of 3348 sq.ft situated at Sri Siruvapurai Nagar, Alamathi Village Ponneri Taluk by considering the petitioner's applications dated 16.12.2025 and 30.12.2025.

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the second respondent to issue patta in favour of the petitioner for the property morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition based on the petitioner's applications dated 16.12.2025 and 30.12.2025 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate accepts notice for the respondents.

No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's applications seeking for issuance of patta is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after giving due consideration to the documents produced by the petitioner before the second respondent. Since an online application was not filed earlier before the second respondent, the petitioner has to necessarily submit a fresh online application with the second respondent seeking for issuance of patta.

5. The learned counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner is willing to submit a fresh online application with the second respondent. The said statement is recorded.
6. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the representation made by the petitioner.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the petitioner to submit a fresh online application with the second respondent seeking for issuance of patta for the property morefully described in the prayer to this Writ Petition along with supporting documents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the said online application along with supporting documents within the stipulated period, the second respondent is directed to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner within a period of 12 weeks thereafter, after hearing the objections of the neighbouring land owners or any other third party, whom the second respondent deems it fit to enquire. 3/4
