Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the entire records connected with the detention order of the 2nd respondent in Memo No.479/BCDFGISSSV/2020 dated 23.11.2020 and quash the same and direct the respondents to produce the body and person of petitioner's son viz., Ganesh @ Purushothaman, aged about 35 years, son of Venkatraman (late), detained in Central Prison, Puzhal, Chennai, before this Court and set him at liberty forthwith.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Memo No.479/BCDFGISSSV/2020 dated 23.11.2020, detaining her son as "Drug Offender" under Section 2(e) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenue has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.188, Home, Prohibition and Excise (VIII) Department, dated 11.01.2021 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order.
